Terms of Service

Rules for using Violetly.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern access to Violetly operated by Yarego Brozek (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Violetly is a personal finance operating system: tracking, planning, investments views, free calculators, and an AI assistant. Features may change. Beta or early-access features may be incomplete.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email and keep access to it secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Magic-link sign-in is personal — do not share links.
  • One person per account unless we expressly allow otherwise.

4. Plans and pricing (Free and Plus)

  • Free includes unlimited cash accounts, transactions, and goals, with limited investment holdings and limited in-app agent messages per calendar month (UTC), as shown on Pricing.
  • Plus raises those ceilings (holdings and agent messages) as shown on Pricing. Prices are in EUR: currently €7 per month or €59 per year, paid via Stripe Checkout.
  • Limits may change with reasonable notice. Existing data is not deleted when you hit a limit; new holdings or agent turns may be blocked until you upgrade or usage resets.
  • ChatGPT / MCP access is available on Free and Plus; in-app Gemini agent messages are what the monthly agent quota meters.

Billing, cancellation, VAT

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing (Stripe Customer Portal). Access to Plus continues until the end of the paid period.
  • No VAT is charged. The seller operates under the German small-business exemption (Kleinunternehmerregelung, § 19 UStG). Invoices show the subscription price without a VAT line.
  • Payment processing is provided by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

Consumer withdrawal (Widerruf)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts. If you ask us to start a paid digital subscription immediately and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once performance begins, statutory rules on digital content / services apply. Contact brozek.yarego@gmail.com for withdrawal requests; unpaid/unused periods may be refunded according to applicable law and Stripe’s dispute process.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Service, probe or disrupt infrastructure, or bypass rate limits or plan limits
  • upload unlawful content or others’ personal data without a basis
  • use the AI assistant for unlawful advice schemes, malware, or attempts to extract system secrets
  • reverse engineer the Service except where mandatory law allows
  • resell or provide the Service as a bureau without our written consent

6. Not financial advice

Violetly provides software tools and informational assistance. It is not investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. Market data (including via Alpha Vantage, EODHD, and Yahoo Finance) may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. You remain solely responsible for financial decisions.

7. AI assistant

The assistant may hallucinate or mis-state figures. Always verify important outputs against your own records. Do not submit secrets you are not allowed to process (e.g. third-party confidential data).

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service, branding, and software. You retain ownership of data you enter. You grant us a limited license to host and process that data solely to provide the Service.

9. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by German law:

  • The Service is provided “as is”.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from finance decisions or third-party market data.
  • Mandatory liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life/body/health, or Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
  • For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalpflichten), limited to typical foreseeable damage.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting your account cancels associated Stripe subscriptions where possible. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security/legal risk.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. Exclusive venue for merchants is Berlin, Germany; consumers may also sue in their place of residence where required by law.
